UNO-R, College of IT Life

Many people say that BSIT or Bachelor of Science in Information Technology course is very difficult because it’s more on analysis, logic or math. But what’s your opinion about it? Are they correct? Have you asked yourself what if you take this course and what would be your expectations?

IT course in UNO-R (University of Negros Occidental Recoletos) is difficult from the first part especially during the freshmen year that’s why some of the students transfer to other course. It’s normal to think that students are getting doubt to the course they took but actually no one can say that some course in UNO-R are easy. The main problem of the students taking IT course is that they are lack of confidence and lack of motivation.

What is unique in this course is that its more challenging compared to other courses that’s why some students feel crazy about the subject and Java Programming is one of the complex subject during first year and yet its fun. Third year until fourth year, IT students take another challenge more than what they expected but there are no reasons to be scared because the true blood of uno-rian is brave, brave to take any challenge, brave to take risk and brave to fight for the future.

The IT course in UNO-R is more advance compared to other Universities in Negros. The school can provide advance technology which is good for the students to adapt easily the current technology and advance style of education that could increase the capability of the IT students to learn not just in discussion but also in actual application of the course.

IT Life in UNO-R is nice because the IT teachers are just like students and yet professionals, they are open to anyone specially those students who really need their help and willing to spend time just to provide education and training for the future. They teach the students to be competence with integrity and team work. And also they let the IT students seek not just for goals but for excellence.

Words that IT students of UNO-R should remember,

“Heads up and be proud uno-rians”

  5. Very well said, Karlo! True that IT courses in our college is difficult. Taken to experience that I've experienced all 3 courses. From BSCS down to BSIS. One must have the determination to succeed in order to finish our program. Determination, meaning one must not be contented by garnering median grades in his/her subjects but one must aim to have at least a line of 8 on his/her card.

  13. I am very happy that i am part of the IT Family. i feel something which is very different. i feel comfortable with my course, and i think i am very lucky that my parents sent me in a University wherein i can improve my self to be a better person and to experience the freedom of exploration. I see the world when i fly, i see the sea far away and i feel the cold air near from outer space. i knew the challenge wont end but the blood of a falcon run into veins that keeps me alive and sharpen my mind that no one could predict.
